Spring 2022 Catalogue

As I write to you on this brusque January morning to announce that our Spring catalogue is now live online it seems slightly odd to be thinking about our summer gardens, even before we have even enjoyed the spring show. As we always say, the garden waits for no one, and it is with this in mind that I present to you my 2022 summer flowering bulb collection. The catalogues are printing towards the end of the month, please keep a lookout for yours.

As with each new year, I have tried to balance our offering of old favourites with the best of the new and exciting introductions. Notably, this year includes a selection of garden hippeastrum. Very similar to the Amaryllis that we are used to growing at Christmas, they are fully hardy and add an impressive focal point to any garden.

I am delighted to report that there has been considerable development in garden lilies, with more young growers becoming involved. An important bonus is that, generally, we have been able to considerably reduce our lily prices, making them more affordable than they have been for several years now. More on lilies next week.
